Donald Trump claims Mark Zuckerberg won’t back Kamala Harris; Meta refutes allegations

Former President Donald Trump alleged that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg informed him he wouldn’t vote for a Democrat in the upcoming election. Trump claimed that Zuckerberg made this statement in a call after the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.
According to Trump, Zuckerberg said, “I’ve never supported a Republican before, but there’s no way I can vote for a Democrat in this election,” reported the New York Magazine.
Meta has denied Trump’s assertion, saying that Zuckerberg has publicly announced he is not supporting either Trump or Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. Meta’s statement clarifies that Zuckerberg’s political stance remains neutral.
This claim follows Zuckerberg’s praise of Trump’s reaction to the shooting incident in Pennsylvania. Zuckerberg had described Trump’s defiant gesture as “one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen,” reflecting a degree of admiration for Trump’s resilience.
