Delta Airlines passenger was apparently kicked from the flight reportedly due to his dress choice. The man was wearing a shirt depicting former President Donald Trump flipping the bird — and a reference to the viral “hawk tuah” girl video.
According to a post on the Reddit group r/delta, the man was initially asked by an airline employee to change his shirt after a complaint was made about the shirt’s content. The man wore a black T-shirt with Donald Trump in American flag-colored sunglasses holding up two middle fingers and “Hawk tuah spit on that thang,” the shirt reads about the R-rated internet clip.
Later, the man turned the shirt inside-out, and the flight proceeded to board.
However, just before takeoff, a Delta employee returned to the plane and escorted the man off the flight, as he had apparently reversed the shirt back to display the original design, according to the New York Post.
“Next thing I know, right before takeoff, a Delta employee comes on the plane and escorts him off the flight, he had flipped his shirt back to the decal side,” poster SKBeachGirl wrote.
“I’m getting kicked off because of my shirt,” the man announces as he walks down the aisle with his luggage, footage shows. “And this is her reporting me stupid … ,” he added.
Delta’s Contract of Carriage allows the airline to remove passengers from flights at their discretion for various reasons, including conduct, attire, hygiene, or odor that may cause offense or annoyance to other passengers or employees.
