Kamala Harris: ‘Eating a bag of Doritos?’: Elisabeth Hasselbeck gets schooled for slamming Kamala Harris

Vice president Kamala Harris said she ate a family-sized bag of nacho Doritos the night of the 2016 election. “I did not share one chip with anybody. Not even Doug. I just watched the TV with utter shock and dismay,” Kamala Harris wrote in a fundraiser mail creating a fresh debate whether a world leader should binge-eat to sail through emotional crisis.”When I took the stage for my acceptance speech — to represent California in the Senate — I tore up my notes. I just said, ‘We will fight’. Two thing are true eight years later: I still love Doritos and we still have not stopped fighting,” Kamala Harris wrote.
TV personality and former The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Fox News said it was just to impress the American voters that she is very relatable but binge-eating can’t be the response of the commander-in-chief’s emotional response. “Can you imagine Putin, how he deals with things,” she said.

“You just talked about Kamala Harris supposedly eating a bag of Doritos, so emotionally charged after hearing this,” Hasselbeck said of Harris’ story. “That’s the commander-in-chief, potentially, that’s the emotional response of the leader of the free world is to binge-eat a bag of Doritos? Are you kidding me?”
“Can you imagine Putin, how he deals with things? Chugging down a bag of Sour Patch Kids because he’s depressed about something not going his way? Or back in the day, (Qasem) Soleimani, what is he binging on Funyuns?” Hasselback said.
“I doubt that’s the actual response of an elite leader,” Hasselbeck added. “Whether you agree with what they are leading or not.”
Many social media users said they understood Kamala Harris’s emotion and at least she did not try to overthrow the government like Trump did in 2020. “Yeah, she ate a bag of Doritos, accepted the outcome, then moved on. She didn’t try to overthrow the government or spend the next four years saying the election was stolen,” a user wrote.
