DHAKA: Bangladesh‘s interim government chief adviser, Muhammad Yunus, will brief foreign diplomats in Dhaka on Sunday, updating the international community on the initiatives taken to restore normalcy in the country, an official said on Saturday.
“We believe that all our friends and partners in the international community will continue to support the interim govt and our people as we work towards a new future for Bangladesh,” foreign affairs adviser Md Touhid Hossain told diplomats during a briefing at the state guesthouse on August 12.
Hossain assured that the government would ensure the safety and security of consular premises. “We are also committed to protecting all foreign citizens residing in our territory,” Hossain said.
