There are other options to use only the name or to custom the gender.
“Hu/hu,” which indicates that a person wants to emphasize their humanity over their gender, and “Fae/faer,” which denotes that a person is fluid between multiple genders but not masculine genders, are also presented as options. Xe/Xem are gender neutral pronouns.
Job seekers are also asked how they would “contribute to building a diverse culture” and are given the option of completing a diversity survey at the end of the application which asks, “Do you identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community?” among other questions.
Social media users said the pronoun list is longer than the policy section on the Harris “Kamala Harris has more pronouns (9) than policies (0) on her website,” one wrote. “#KamalaHarris cares more about her PRONOUNS than our economy or southern border,” another said.
“The only pronouns I know are Weirdo/Weirdo,” one commented.
“This should be the first question to Kamala at the debate…can you please explain what each of these are?” another wrote.
“Eradicating pronouns should’ve been part of his platform,” opined another. “It’s funny because any one who uses Xe/Xem pronouns definitely does not have a resume to upload! Haha,” another comment read.
