Donald Trump‘s campaign fears that the former US president might be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as he watched the video clip of getting shot at multiple times. A source close to the campaign told Vanity Fair that Trump has been watching the seven-second clip of how close he was to getting shot in the head over and over again displaying signs of PTSD.Trump has been through a lot and the assassination attempt continues to weigh on him, the report said.
Trump campaign took a backseat as Kamala Harris and Tim Walz dominated the news cycle with their back-to-back campaigning. Trump complained that he was not getting enough news coverage and will be addressing the second press conference today in two weeks. According to insiders, Trump can’t get over feeling ‘cheated’ by Joe Biden’s exit for which he now has to adjust to a new campaign and a new, much younger candidate.
‘Trump on a self-destructive spiral’
Many in his campaign believe that Donald Trump’s self-destructive spiral began with the Chicago conference of Black journalists where Trump doubted whether Kamala Harris was Black or an Indian. Then Trump unleashed his strange theories on Truth Social that Biden might crash the Democratic National Convention and take back the nomination from Kamala Harris etc.
Trump faced some scrutiny by his donors over his racist attack on Kamala Harris but he stood his ground and said he thought he was right about ‘Kamala being either Black or Indian’.
“Republican donors and Trump campaign officials are struggling to understand why Trump seems to be sabotaging his own candidacy. One theory, according to sources, is that Trump has been experiencing trauma from his near-death experience following the assassination attempt at the rally last month in Butler, Pennsylvania,” the Vanity Fair report said.
Another major upset for the Trump camp is that Donald Trump expected Kamala Harris’ honeymoon period to be over in a few days. but her momentum is only surging. And Trump’s whining against Kamala’s race is not helping the GOP campaign. Former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley also urged Trump to not focus on issues like Kamala Harris’ race and the fact that she doesn’t do press conferences.
