President-elect Donald Trump announced his picks for two key national security roles on Friday.
Alex Wong will serve as deputy national security adviser. Wong previously served as the deputy special representative for North Korea during Trump’s first term. “He helped negotiate my Summit with North Korean Leader, Kim Jong Un,” Trump said in a statement.
Trump also named Sebastian Gorka as White House senior director for counterterrorism. According to Trump, Gorka has over 30 years of experience in national security.
