Former First Lady Melania Trump, who was with Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden on Sunday and gave a speech, said she is not anxious this time as she has much more knowledge and experience of the White House. “When you go in, you know exactly what to expect, you know what kind of people you need to get…who have the same vision as me, they would serve me as they served the country,” Melania said on Fox and Friends.
The former First Lady spoke about her book ‘Melania’ and the people who stabbed her in the back as she said she wrote the book to dispel a lot of misinformation about her. To people who put her down, she said she wishes them the best. “They need to heal. I wish them the best. They should be there for the right reasons…it’s betrayal. They showed the world who they are. They know what they did…to tap the First Lady’s phone and release them…never happened in the history,” Melania said.
Melania said it’s like 2016 again. She said she was very selective about her campaign presence as there were assassination attempts on her husband. Melania said Madison Square Ground was very special. “It was an incredible place, I love to be in New York. I wanna support my husband. I was there for him and everybody else,” Melania said.
It’s terrible that Donald Trump is being compared to Hitler, Melania said. “He’s not Hitler.”
Melania then took questions from the audience and spoke at length about her pro-choice stance which is starkly opposite to that of her husband and husband’s party. Melania said Donald Trump always knew about her pro-choice ‘my body, my choice’ stance, since the day they met. “Maybe the world did not know. So it was a shock to the world. But he always knew, it was not shocking to him,” Melania said.
An audience member asked Melania about her plan for Election Day. The former first last lady said she and Trump would be at Palm Beach. “We would vote in the morning and then it would be a period of waiting.”
