The powerful storm, struck the eastern Cuban province of Guantanamo on Sunday evening, close to the city of Baracoa. The storm’s winds reached a formidable 75 mph (120 kph) as it made landfall. Prior to its arrival in Cuba, Oscar had already left its mark on the Bahamas, making landfall on Great Inagua on Saturday.
