Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Saturday that Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, is the same as President Joe Biden. He shared a video on social media summarising clips of both Harris and Biden using similar language and discussing comparable topics during their respective rallies.
While sharing the video on the social media platform X, Trump wrote, “Kamala Harris is Joe Biden….”
In one clip, both Biden and Harris are heard saying, “Bidennomics is working” at their rallies. In another segment, Biden remarks, “We have a process in place to manage migrants at the border. We’re working to ensure it’s safe, orderly, and humane.” This was followed by Harris saying, “Our administration is simultaneously working to ensure a safe, orderly, and humane processing system at the border.”
In the final clip, when Biden was asked about his message to Hezbollah and its supporter Iran, he replied with “Don’t.” When a similar question was posed to Harris, she also answered, “Don’t.” When the interviewer noted the similarity in responses, Harris remarked, “Exactly. One word, pretty straightforward.”
During a rally in Michigan on Friday night, Trump also accused Harris of “being at a dance party with Beyoncé” following the pop singer’s endorsement of Harris at a Houston rally.
Trump is scheduled to hold a rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. The lineup of speakers include his running mate JD Vance, Elon Musk, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and New York Representative Elise Stefanik. Other notable figures, such as former presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr, ex-Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, Eric Trump, and Donald Trump Jr, will also take the stage. Additionally, former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard, who recently switched to the Republican Party, along with far-right personality Tucker Carlson and UFC chief Dana White, are slated to speak at the event.
The 2024 US election is scheduled for November 5.
